Frans Helmerson
Frans Helmerson (born 1945) is a Swedish cellist.
==Biography==
Helmerson was born in 1945 and by the age of 8 began playing cello. Later on, he studied at University of Gothenburg and in both Rome and London.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title= Frans Helmerson )〕 His first concert was in Stockholm, Sweden after which he traveled throughout Europe, Asia, United States, and Russia. He also worked as a conductor with various Scandinavian orchestras and the Escuela Superior de Musica Reina Sofia where he still present.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Frans Helmerson )〕 In 2002 he became a founder of Michelangelo String Quartet in whose group he had Mihaela Martin, Stephan Picard and Nobuko Imai and worked there as a professor, soloist and conductor. From 2011 to 2012 he was a guest professor at the Hochschule für Musik "Hanns Eisler" where he currently plays a cello of Domenico Montagnana.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title= Frans Helmerson )
He published his ''Dvorak Concerto'' under BIS Records label which was praised a lot by critics and later on he, along with a conductor of Russian State Symphony Capella, Valery Polyansky, published both Shostakovich's cello concertos which too got acclaim among critics.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=A few words about Frans Helmerson )
